Director Selvarghavan on New Year announced his upcoming film Aayirathil Oruvan 2 with his brother Dhanush. Announcing the film, Selvaraghavan shared the first-look poster on social media. The film, which will feature Dhanush playing the lead role, will release sometime in 2024. The pre-production work of Aayirathil Oruvan 2 will go on for almost a year.

On January 1, director Selvaraghavan unveiled the first-look poster of his upcoming film, Aayirathil Oruvan 2. The film is a sequel to the filmmaker's hit film of the same name. Back in 2010, the film didn't receive favourable reviews. Over the years, Aayirathil Oruvan enjoys a cult status among fans.
